Available soon - A Loose Screw ~ The Unexpected Mission

The release date for my contribution to Less than Three Press' newest collection, A Loose Screw is April 9th

My story is called The Unexpected Mission, and is currently available for preorder now.

It all started with a prank, but when Axel stows away on the Titan Mark Three, he gets caught up in an urgent mission that could mean peace between Altia and Calor—or turn tension into war.

As if that weren't enough, Axel is also distracted by the Pilot in charge of the mission: Ivan Daletsky, the greatest Titan pilot of the age, whom Axel has wanted for a long time and isn't likely to ever get.

Then the treaty is stolen, and time is rapidly running out, and it will take all the ingenuity Axel can muster to prevent a war.

Axel's crush on Ivan is one of the main problems he has when he starts the mission: how does one go about making friends with an idealistic dream? He idolizes Ivan, but Ivan is just a regular man who does extremely well at his job--and he does not want to be idolized in the least.

The journey Axel goes through in discovering that Ivan is just another man was a fun one to write, and I hope you enjoy seeing him forced to change his perspective amidst the chaos that comes with the minor mission of preventing a war.

Coming Soon - A Loose Screw ~ The Unexpected Mission

I'm excited about LT3's A Loose Screw collection, focusing on the men and women who live their lives around mecha (giant armour/robots) because my story The Unexpected Mission will be coming out on the 9th of April!

The story focuses on Axel Kolev, a young trainee cadet in the Titan Armour program. He's a pretty good guy, if a little prone to pranks. One prank goes too far, and--well.

I'm quite fond of both Axel and Ivan; Axel for being the best kind of prankster, and Ivan for being somewhat unprepared for his own fame.

This story was a lot of fun to write, and I hope you'll all enjoy this foray into the sci-fi world, a hitherto untested genre for me. Probably not the last of its kind though, I'll be coming back to mecha soon.

WIP Snippet

It's been a while again, my apologies. I suppose the holiday season is not to be taken lightly. Odd, it never used to be that stressful, but I suppose it is an unavoidable part of growing up. Anyway, here is a snippet of a story I'm working on.

The story is focused around the Alicanto, a bird from Chilean myth that brings luck to miners. Its wings shine with metallic colours, and it eats gold and silver. If the miner is lucky, then he will find gold or silver by following the alicanto. If he is too greedy and the bird discovers him, however, the bird will lure him over a cliff.

Another Update

Wow, it's been a while. My apologies!

I'm going to start doing Snippet Sundays again, and some general updates around the site in the next few days, but this post is mainly to announce a fantastic sale that Less Than Three Press is doing: An Advent Sale.

You can read all about it by clicking on the image below, but it involves all LT3 authors over the course of December, which is pretty exciting. I know I'm going to be taking advantage of it. With so many authors, it's an excellent opportunity to stock up on some holiday reading with either an old favourite, or a new one!

Look for a snippet coming on Sunday, there's a few WIPs in the works that I'm pretty excited about.

Updates

So it's been a while since I updated, my apologies! Life has calmed down a little and I can finally get back to my writing.

Some good news, there is a release date for my contribution to Less Than Three Press' Proud to be a Vampire collection. My story, Promise of Forever, will be released on the 9th of October

I'm quite pleased with the story; the blurb is as follows:

Eduard is living a boring, routine life and sees no way out of it. Everything changes the night he finds Theo, a newly turned vampire who has no clue what being a vampire entails. Eduard takes Theo in and helps track down his missing boyfriend—only to be confronted with a past he would have preferred stay buried.

It is my first published M/M/M, although not my first written. It definitely had it's challenges, but I really enjoyed the characters, so it's nice to see the final results of that labour!

And hopefully, if all goes as planned, there will be a few more M/M/M stories coming along.

The second update is my story for Less Than Three Press' Rocking Hard anthology, Exit strategy, which will be a part of the third volume to come to serial, starting in October. My story is last in the rotation, so it will be a few months before it starts getting posted, but I'm really excited about it. I still have a lingering fondness for the MCs, which I think speaks volumes; usually at this point of the editing process I get a little sick of them. But Kenzie and Hunter still remain one of my favourites.

You can see more information about both stories in my Coming Soon page.
